Franklin Savings Bank has established practices to provide our customers with financial information that is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. Customers are encouraged to notify the bank immediately if they receive information regarding their relationship with the bank that they believe to be inaccurate.

Limiting Employee Access to Information

The importance of confidentiality and customer privacy is addressed in our employee handbook and the "Code of Conduct" signed by all employees of Franklin Savings Bank. Our employees are trained to not give information to anyone in a manner that would violate any applicable law or our Privacy Policy. Information is available to our employees on a "need to know" basis so they can do their jobs.

Protection of Information

Appropriate security standards and procedures are maintained to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential customer information.

Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

Franklin Savings Bank will not reveal confidential customer information to third parties except in the following instances:

  • The information is provided to any affiliate of the Bank that may now exist or hereafter be established;

  • To protect the confidentiality or security of your records pertaining to the consumer, service, product or transaction
  • To protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims or other liability;
  • For required institutional risk control or for resolving consumer disputes or inquiries;
  • To persons holding a legal or beneficial interest relating to the consumer or to persons acting in a fiduciary or representative capacity on behalf of the consumer;
  • To provide information to insurance rate advisory organizations, guaranty funds or agencies, agencies that are rating you, persons that are assessing your compliance with industry standards;
  • To your attorneys, accountants, and auditors;
  • To our attorneys, consultants, accountants, and auditors;
  • To the extent specifically permitted or required under other provisions of law and in accordance with the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 (to law enforcement agencies including government regulators;
  • To a consumer reporting agency in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
  • In connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger, transfer, or exchange of all or a portion of a business or operating unit if the disclosure of nonpublic personal information concerns solely consumers of such business or unit;
  • To comply with Federal, State, or local laws, rules and other applicable legal requirements;
  • To comply with a properly authorized civil, criminal, or regulatory investigation, or subpoena or summons by Federal, State, or local authorities; or
  • To respond to judicial process or government regulatory authorities having jurisdiction over you for examination, compliance or other purposes as authorized by law.

Ending Customer Relationships

When you end your customer relationship with us, or when we end our customer relationship with you, we will treat the information we have about you as if you were still our customer.
